            with a newborn are

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           tender, beautiful, exhausting, emotional, and deeply transformative.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            While so much attention is placed on preparing for birth, many families quickly realize that the real adjustment begins once baby arrives home.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This season is often called the “fourth trimester” — a time of recovery, bonding, learning, and transition for both baby and parents. It is not meant to be navigated alone.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

           Newborn Sleep: What Is Actually Normal?
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           One of the biggest surprises for new parents is newborn sleep.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Many families expect longer stretches of sleep fairly quickly, but newborns are biologically designed to wake often. Frequent waking supports feeding, growth, neurological development, and attachment.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            During the

           first six weeks,
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
             it is completely normal for newborns to:
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;ul&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            wake every 2–3 hours (sometimes more frequently)
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            have days and nights confused
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            prefer contact sleep
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            cluster feed in the evenings
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/li&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;li&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            take short naps
           &#xD;

           Newborn sleep is not linear.
          &#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Some nights may feel manageable, while others feel incredibly overwhelming.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This does not mean you are doing anything wrong. The goal during these early weeks is not rigid scheduling or sleep training. Instead, it is about learning your baby’s rhythms, responding to their needs, and gently creating healthy foundations over time.  A calm environment, responsive care, and realistic expectations often create far more peace than pressure ever could.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;h2&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Postpartum Recovery Deserves More Attention
          &#xD;

            While families naturally focus on the baby,

           mothers are healing too.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Physically, emotionally, and mentally, the postpartum period is significant. Recovery may include:

           Rest is not laziness.
